This is already the 6th time for Bulgaria being represented in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2005 Bulgaria had its debut with “Lorraine” – a melancholic love song sung by Kaffe, which probably have not been noticed in the song marathon. Bulgarian songs are mostly of high quality and full of surprises. The best position ever has been made by “Water” sung by Elitsa Todorova & Stoyan Yankulov in 2007, a percussion performance from the finest, which ended up on rank #5 in the final in Helsinki. Good songs and ideas have always been awarded with high points. Beside of this success Bulgaria has never been qualified for the finals. We can expect something extraordinary again from Bulgaria this year again. The Bulgarian TV has determined the singer Miro and the TV spectators had to choose one out of five songs. “Angel Si Ti” is a real power pop song, which might have a real chance to qualify for the final as it’s fast and dramatic. There is an interesting and catchy chorus and a climax to the end of the song. Good luck Bulgaria!
