For the fourth time Slovakia is particpating in the Eurovision Song Contest. There has been a gap of nine years, Slovakia returned to the contest finally. Due to the fact that the neighbour country Czech Republic has joined the Eurovision family in 2007, more attention is granted. Unfortunately, the Slovakian entries did not succeed very much, the best rank was #18 in 1996 with “Kym nas mas” by Marcel Palonder. The Slovakian television has organized six shows to determine the representative for Moscow, that’s even more than in Sweden! Slovakia has chosen Kamil & Nela with the song “Let’tmou”. It all begins very lovely with a cello and a nice harmony. This duet has a huge climax, and it will exhausted by Kamil & Nela until the unbearable. The melody is far too complicated and complex so it’s quite hard to follow this song with Western European ears. At the end they both seem to scream the entire song and destroy the harmony with drama. This is disappointing, if you consider that six shows have only brought this skirl.
