Participant(s): Ani Lorak |
Since the debut of the Ukraine in 2003, the country belongs to the lucky winners of the Eastern European countries in the Eurovision Song Contest. Ruslana’s victory “Wild Dances” and the unforgettable Verka Seduchka “Dancing Lasha Tumbai” show that the Ukraine really has a good hand in their choice for Eurovision songs. Any Lorak has been determined by the Ukrainian Television NTU and there were five songs to choose from. “Shady Lady” is a gentle and international smash hit composed by the meanwhile famous Philip Kirkorov who brought last year’s singer Koldun from Belarus into the final. Philip Kirkov knows exactly what’s important to pass Eurovision in the most glamorous and spectacular way in regards of costumes and the look of the stage. Ani Lorak is a beautiful and popular singer in the Ukraine and she is already on a promotion tour throughout Europe with her entry. Even if “Shady Lady” is a compatible disco song with no direct relation to popular Ukrainian music, this song definitely belongs to the top favorites this year! |
