As well as many other Western European countries, the Netherlands are disappointed by the poor results of the recent years, the mightly unfair voting from the Eastern European countries. So you can notice a slight decrease of interest in Western Europe. This year’s choice from the Netherlands is a kind of “no matter what we send, it won’t get many points” mentality. The song “Your heart belongs to me” is nothing remarkable, just a song, which unfortunately does not convince by first hearing. Why there such a use of oriental elements in this song? That doesn’t sound neither Dutch, nor international. Ruth Jacott must return to Eurovision!
