Participant(s): Isis Gee Song: For Life Writer(s): Isis Gee Composer(s): Isis Gee |
Poland is back! The debut of Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest was in 1994 when Edyta Gorniák captivated Europe with her great ballad “To nie ja!” and came second! Such a good rank in the debut year is very seldom. It was definitely a great plus to open the borders and let the Eastern European countries participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. They are taking the contest more seriously and often bringing the best singers they have with high quality entries. Poland was a indeed a real enrichment with great songs and unforgettable memories. These great Polish songs have embossed the image of Polish music. In the recent years the songs from Poland were weaker and not of the same quality like in the beginning in the 90’s. So Poland has not reached the final in the last three years anymore. This year Poland has really found back to it’s old roots. “For Life” is a classic ballad sung in English by the lovely singer Isis Gee, who is half American. It’s a kind of hymn from Poland this year and clearly one of the favorites. It convinces by first hearing, Isis has a great charisma and a wonderful voice. The song is international, beautiful, stylish and full of positive energy. Just hope that she is going to have a gorgious stage performance and that she is going to have the “winner smile”. So there is a quite good chance for Poland this year. Congratulations Poland – the right choice! |
