 Hungary has established as one of the strongest candidates in the Eurovision Song Contest recently. The debut in 1994 was very successful – Friderika with the 5th place. And then there were several years of weak entries and no participation. Since 2005 Hungary is back and takes its chances. Cool new music has been brought to Eurovision – remember the dark styled step dancers of NOX and last years Magdi Rúzsa with the great soul song “Unsubstantial Blues”. These original entries will go into Eurovision history for sure.
This year Hungary comes with a great and soulful ballad called “Candlelight”. Czèzy is a very beautiful singer with lots of charisma. This is one of the few striking gala songs. Even if the song is a simple love song it will definitely stand out of all the other average and gimmick songs. Many people will be happy to have such a classic Eurovision ballad back this year.
