Macedonia (Fyrom) has debuted in 1998 and is now seen as the Eurovision phenomenon. Since the new two-show-concept, they have always qualified for the final. Many people were surprised that Macedonia always get the qualification no matter if the song was good or not, other countries never made it to the final like Andorra, Monaco or Portugal. It’s more than obvious that the Balkan countries vote for each other. That’s comprehensible, because the cultural background is quite similar with all the neighbor countries. In former years the Scandinavians were notorious to give the highest votes for their neighbors. Greece and Cyprus always give each other 12 points and the Germany is mainly giving Turkey 12 Points, because of the high allotment of Turkish people living in Germany.

“Let me love you” is not an outstanding song at all. It’s nearly the same we always heard over the years from Macedonia. In a way they are quite successful with this kind of music. But this song is to plain and shallow to be in the top positions. Maybe a bit more originality would help!
