Participant(s): Simon Mathew Song: All night long Writer(s): Jacob Launbjerg, Svend Gudiksen, Nis Bøgvad Composer(s): Jacob Launbjerg, Svend Gudiksen, Nis Bøgvad |
The verve of the Eurovision is especially distinct in Scandinavia. For the Scandinavian countries the Eurovision Song Contest is THE TV event of the year! No wonder that there is such a big hype in the predecisions. Sweden is the big archetype with its Melodifestivalen. But also Denmark is doing its Melodi Grand Prix which gains more and more popularity. Denmark has already won twice, recently in 2000 with the Olsen Brothers. During the Eurovision time in Copenhagen 2001 there was a great Eurovision atmosphere all over the city, Denmark was the perfect host and all Danes were delighted and in Eurovision fever. This year Simon Matthew is the Danish choice for Belgrade. The uplifting and positive song called “All night long” and it’s a very catchy song. His looks and style reminds a bit of Germany’s singer from last year Roger Cicero. The Danes always hope insistently to qualify for the final. Let’s hope that this melody reaches the European hearts. |
