Since Malta's return to Eurovision in 1991, the small island in the Mediterranean Sea could show some significant successes. Malta was often so close to win the contest, but came second several times. Nevertheless, Malta really would like to host the contest one day on it's beautiful island. Chiara could prove last year that it can be worth it to take part for a second time. She could improve herself from place 3 in 1998 (Birmingham) to place 2 in 2005 (Kiev).

So this year Fabrizio is going to try another start. He came 9th in Copenhagen with "Another summer night". This year's song is called "I do" and is already handled among of this years favourites. But this song is weaker than the one from 2001, it's too smooth and easy. In consideration to the strong competitors this song will probably have a hard task to survive!
