One of the most successful newer countries at Eurovision is Estonia. The Baltic country is very music orientated in general. There is no other country with more choirs and music festivals than Estonia. That also has a big influence in the Estonian songs for Eurovision - they are always modern and tasteful. Nevertheless the Baltic countries share a very close cultural bond with Scandinavia. That's why Estonian songs often have this typical Scandinavian sound. Estonia already borrowed a Swedish singer in 2002 - Sahlene and shaped up very well.
