For the second time in the Eurovision history, a debut country could reach instantly the 2nd rank. In 1994 it was Edyta Gorniak for Poland and last year Zeljo Joskimovic with his strong song "Lane Moje". The former Yugoslavian entries were quite successful and sometimes shrill: "Brazil" by Baby Doll (Rome 1991), "Halo Halo" by Aska (Harrogate 1982) and "Dzulie" by Daniel (Munich 1983). Since the partition of Yugoslavia all new countries have demonstraded a high standard of the song with well known singers - and beside of that they are very successful. This years entry is called "Zauvijek moja" and will be sung by the band No Name which is from Montenegro. This song differs from all other entries in this years contest. It sounds like a song from another world. Serbia & Montenegro has already a position in the Final and there will be a good placing at the end. |
