Since 1994 Poland takes part at the Eurovision Song Contest. Poland was able to proof that the country liked that contest and send always great entries and different musicstyles, which have not been seen so far. Poland didn't shape up that well, with one big exception: Edyta Gorniak got second in Dublin 1994 with her anthem "To nie ja". Last years entry "Love song" by Blue Café could not shape up so well and came 17th. Too less to qualify for the final in Kiev. We always have to expect something totally new from Poland. This year there is gispymusic! The Song "Czarna Dziewczyna" (The Girls with Black Hair) sung by Ivar & Delfin is going to be THE partyhit in Kiev - that's for sure. On the other hand there will be as much shocked tv-spectators. If this gipsy sound will succeed in Europe - that's the big question! The song will probably end up in the very top or at the very end. |
