Participant: Aleksandra & Konstantin Song: My Galiley Writer(s): Aleksey Solomaha Composer(s): Aleksandra & Konstantin |
Over the recent years the Eurovision family has been growing and growing and more countries started showing interest in the worlds greatest TV spectacular - this year there will be 36 countries participating altogether. Monaco is back after been absent for 24 years but unfortunately some of the classic participants like Italy and Luxembourg have lost interest altogether. Belarus, one of the newcomers, just like Albania, Serbia & Montenegro or Andorra, has been a member of the EBU for a few years now and previous Song Contests have been broadcasted on national TV. Belarus also took part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen last year. Experience of the last ten years has shown how much new energy and creativity was brought in through Eastern European countries to the good old "Grand Prix d'Eurovision". The Belorussian national final "Crossroads To Europe" took place in Minsk and was won by the duo Alexandra & Constantin. They have been on the scene for about one year and have already released their first album. The song "Moy Galiley" is an unusual song, which we think, will either end up on the very top or very low end of the scoreboard. But no matter how the outcome, we are excited about Belarus taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time. Good luck Belarus! |
