Participant: Karmen Stavec Song: Lep poletni dan (Nanana) Writer(s): Karmen Stavec Composer(s): Martin Štibernik |
The Slovenian pre-decision EMA consisted of 16 entries. Every year it is a quite big TV-spectacular. In the last years the Slovenian entries have been extremely extravagant - nobody will forget the transvestite group Sestre last year as well as Nusa Derenda with her "Engergy". But this year it will be more contemplative. Karmen will sing "A beautiful summerday" in English and she could send Nusa Derenda on the second place. If Slovenia would have had the last starting position in the last two last years, it would have been quite possible to win for the small country on the Adriatic Sea But this year they have thrown away their chance. The song is quite boring and remembers of formerly Balkan-pop songs of the 70's and 80's.
