Participant: Jostein Hasselgård Song: I´m not afraid to move on Writer(s): Arve Furset Composer(s): Arve Furset |
Norway is back! In the year 2001 Norway had to pause for one year, because the ballad of Haldor "On my own" which only received three points. This year Norway is going to send another ballad to Eurovision: "I'm not afraid to move on". Jostein Hasselgard never wanted to be a pop-star, just hard working as a musician. He is named as the male counterpart of Karoline Krüger (1988) with "For var jord" - she also used a piano on stage and also the voice is quite variable: it can be from deep to very high, like Jostein. Unfortunately there are also dark clouds over the Norwegian contribution in Riga this year. In the Norwegian pre-decision Latvia was equalized with Russia. The Latvians were quite angry about that and boycotted Norwegian products and made Oslo to Stockholm! To come to a peaceful conclusion, the Norwegian TV NRK is producing a four-part documentary about Latvia. The Latvian band F.L.Y. is going to have a peace-vodka with Jostein in Riga. |
