Participant: Mija Martina Barbaric |
Bosnia-Herzegovina does not take part every year at the Eurovision Song Contest. Unfortunately the songs never have been really successful and were found among the lower ranks. The greatest success was in 1999 a 7th rank with "Putnici" sung by Dino & Beatrice. The singer from Bosnia-Hercegovina is Mija Martina Barbaric. She was born in 1984 in Mostar. Three years old, she won the "Children Festival". Mija already took part twice in the Bosnian final. She works as a journalist and presents a music show on the local TV in Mostar. Furthermore she studies music and is specialized in the piano and the flute. Her song "Ne buni" has been chosen out of 78 entries. It is a fast - almost aggressive pop song, which finds directly into the listeners ears. In the video clip she is playing around with two almost naked men! If she brings them with her to Riga, she will definitely win the contest! |
