Participant: Alf Poier Song: Weil der Mensch zählt Writer(s): Alf Poier Composer(s): Alf Poier |
The greatest success for Austria was in 1966 when Udo Jürgens won with "Merci Chérie". After that there has not been any outstanding success for Austria. Alf Poier - a stand-up-comedian- has won the Austrian pre-decision "Song 03" with a very weird song. In his song "Weil der Mensch zählt" (Because the human counts) Alf tells absurd stories of rabbits, cats and dromedaries from Africa. Will the Europeans understand the Austrian humor? Such an entry will end up in the category "worst song ever". Alf Poier was born 1967 in Judenberg (Steiermark). He intends to bring individualism to Europe! Good night Austria! |
