The very popular Russian group “Mumiy Troll” is going to present Russia for the 5th time in Eurovision. Due to the total different outfit and music-style they are treated like “outsiders”, but by chance, they may be good for a big surprise on Saturday night. Ilia Lagoutenko comes from Vladivostok in the far east of the Russian Federation. He fluently speaks English and toured already all around the world f. e. New York. The group was founded in 1983 and got popular on concerts in London and China. Since years they are among the top bands in Russia and are well represented in the charts. Over 115 million spectators from all over Russia will watch the show on Saturday – that’s the greatest part of all spectators in the world. Every third Russian knows the Eurovision already – and the people are very proud and happy that Russia has a chance on the world music market. |
