Participant(s): Aurela Gaçe Song: Feel The Passion Writer(s): Sokol Marsi Composer(s): Shpetim Saraci |
For the 8th time, Albania is sending a song to the Eurovision Song Contest. Looking back in the history, Albania did not pass into the final two times only. But the entire three years, Albanian songs were found in the Eurovision final, and by surprise Albania always ended up on rank 17 the last three years. The Albanian national final is a big TV event every year with many songs which are even longer than the typical “3 minutes”. It has always been the case that the winning song is shortened to three minutes and before going to the Eurovision Song Contest, the song will be revamped, that means getting a new arrangement, English lyrics a pleasant video clip. Sometimes the original song is sounds quite differently from the “end product”, which is going to be presented for a huge audience at the ESC. This year’s Albanian song is called “Kënga ime” which means “Feel the passion” sung by the charismatic singer Aurelia Gaçe. Even if the song has been improved with English lyrics and new arrangement, this is not an easy-listening track with many complicated phases. It all depends on the stage performance in Düsseldorf, with a nice choir and illumination this song could do well. Furthermore this song will also receive a lot of back up from the European televoters and jury members to qualify for the final.
